in retrospect

some of the best times of my life revolved around newspapers, especially the small-town jewel that was The Mountaineer-Herald under the leadership of publisher David J. Thompson.

I worked closely with the Herald for a number of years, ending in 1976 when I went over to the dark side (teevee news).

We published a weekly paper and ran a job shop that printed a wide variety of stuff, from business cards to books and souvenir programs.
